I visited the Goonhilly Earth Station in 1998, with representatives from Comsat U.S. It's a long standing earth station, and a fascinating facility for those persons interested in Satellite Communications, I. E. SatCom.

It used to be a 10 out of 10 years ago when you could visit and do the tour including explaining how they were used for live aid. And then further visits included the segway experience which was great razzing round the different dishes. But now to my dismay no chance of even getting in to see the dishes which are amazing. If it was some secret deep space e.t. search site then fair enough but it just seems from the owners comment it is just a base to transmit a rival to sky television broadcasts. It only gets a 1 due to no admission. Hopefully soon you can sort this out because its an amazing site and great it has not been demolished or left to rot.

There was a festival here last month that was really good value for money. Daytime activities and good music acts in the evening. Good to see the visitor centre.

I visited when I was a kid on holiday and I was very impressed with the technology on show and the staff are very helpful and friendly
